2022 Photo Project
I have finally committed to a realistic project for 2022.
2021 was the year I made grande plans that never worked out. And it's a hard pill to swallow know you completely bombed the whole idea. Like 100% bomb.
I want to learn more. I want to try new things. I love photographing the sky and bugs up close. But I also am very aware of my limitations. I am a mom to 2 who still very much need me. I work 5 days a week. I work on our farm. Plus all the other normal adult stuff (cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, etc). As much as I would love to take full days to do photo shoots in the mountains or with a model... it would be an exception to the rule. I have better chances with the bugs and wildlife.
So, in 2022, I am committed to taking at least one INTENTIONAL photo with my DSLR camera per day. Not just a fly by the seat of my pants because I forgot. I can carve out 10 min of my day to take a photo that is beautiful, interesting, etc.
I am not committing to editing the same day or posting the same day or even the next. But I am going to fill a journal with a print out of my photo, with the date and settings and a sentence or two to describe the photo, the moment or a feeling. And I have the intention to take that journal as a rough draft and make a photo book in 2023.
This is relaxes enough to give me the freedom to photograph what I want, when I want and how I want. And I will continue to work at crossing things off my photography bucket list. I will continue to learn and try new things.
I'm really excited. No theme. No list to follow. Just a girl and her camera... doing what she loves.
